Troubleshooting - 

When using the camera:
Problem
The camera cannot be
powered on normally.
The camera shuts down
(no display) even though
batteries are installed.
Can not take pictures
when pressing the shutter
button.
Cannot use the flash
strobe.
The LCD screen displays
"MEMORY ERROR"
or "CARD ERROR"
message. Or the camera
cannot read the memory
card.
Cause
The batteries are out of power.
The batteries are incorrectly
installed.
If the camera stays idle for over
60 seconds, the display will be
turned off.
If the camera stays idle for over
3 minutes, the camera will shut
down.
Out of memory.
The camera is recharging the
flash strobe. (The camera keeps
beeping when pressing the
shutter button.)
Using a "protected" SD card.
If the battery icon indicates low
power, the flash strobe may
be disabled due to insufficient
voltage.
The format of the memory card is
not compatible with the camera.
The memory card is corrupted.

Solution
Replace the batteries.
Re-install the batteries.
Press any except the power
button to reactivate the
display.
Press the power button to
reactivate the camera.
Free some space from the
SD/MMC card or the internal
memory.
Wait until the flash strobe is
fully charged (when the flash
icon stops blinking).
Set the SD card to be
writable.
Replace the batteries.
Use the "Format" function to
format the card.
Replace the memory card
with a new one.
