2.9 Transferring calls

You can transfer a call from the headset to your mobile phone without interrupting the connection.
Press and hold the S1 button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a tone. This indicates that the call
has been transferred to your mobile phone.
If you wish to return the call to the headset, briefly press the S1 button once. You can then continue the
conversation from the headset again.

2.10 Microphone ON/OFF

You can switch the microphone off during a call without breaking the connection. Press and hold the S2 or S3
button for approximately 5 seconds; the microphone will then be switched off and the person at the other
end will no longer be able to hear you. To switch the microphone on again, press and hold either the S2 or S3
button in the final position for approximately 5 seconds.

2.11 Battery low status indicator

The indicator light on the headset flashes red instead of green if the battery needs to be charged. If the battery
voltage gets too low, the headset switches off automatically and cannot be switched on again until it is
connected to the charger.

2.12 Battery saver mode

The headset automatically switches to battery saver mode if it has no connection to a telephone. Sometimes
the telephone maintains the connection to the headset, but does not send it any data. If the headset
establishes that a connection has not been synchronised for 2 minutes, it automatically breaks the connection
and switches to standby mode. A warning message may then be displayed on the telephone, and may need
to be confirmed.

2.13 Special features with the Nokia 6310 and 6310i

If the connection between the headset and a Nokia mobile phone has been broken this may be because a)
the distance between the two devices was too great or b) one of the devices was switched off and so a new
connection was not established automatically.
In this case, press the S1 button once (the headset must be switched on, the green LED indicator must be
flashing at two-second intervals). This will restore the pairing.
NB: Make sure that in the Nokia menu under Bluetooth - View Paired Devices - HS-880 (Options) - Request
Connection Authorisation - is set to NO.
