2.0 Before you start and working with the headset
Pairing
The first time you use the headset with a Bluetooth-compatible device (e.g. a mobile phone) you must pair the
headset with the device.
Different pairing procedures may be required for different devices. This user manual simply provides a general
description of the pairing procedure. For detailed information on pairing, refer to the user manual for your
mobile phone.
Pairing the headset with a device:
1. Activate (if necessary) the Bluetooth function on the other device. Refer to the operating instructions for
the other device for details.
2. First, switch the headset off. Then press and hold the S1 button on the headset until the LED indicator
flashes green and red alternately. The headset is now ready for pairing. Make sure that the headset and
the other device are not too far away from each other (around 0.5 to 1.0 metre).
3. Start the pairing process on the device to be paired by initiating a search for Bluetooth devices.
If "ANYCOM HS-880" appears in the display, the headset has been located. Now establish the
connection.
4. If prompted by the other device, enter the headset PIN code (0000) and confirm (if required). If pairing
has been carried out successfully, the headset indicator will flash green and the headset is ready for
use.

5. If pairing cannot be established within a specified time (around 2 minutes), the headset will
automatically switch itself off. Earlier pairing (if present) is cancelled. Repeat this procedure as
necessary (points 2-4).
6. You can cancel the pairing process at any time. Press and hold the S1 key for approximately 5 seconds
until the green and red light goes out and the headset is switched off. Earlier pairing (if present) is
automatically cancelled.
