1.0 Introduction
Please take the time to read this brochure carefully before using the device for the first time in order to
familiarise yourself with its operation. The HS-880 Anycom headset (hands free kit) is based on Bluetooth
wireless technology and can be used to communicate with compatible Bluetooth devices. The headset has
been developed and produced according to Bluetooth specification V1.1.
Bluetooth technology
Bluetooth technology heralds the end of dependency on cable connections. This wireless technology links
mobile and/or stationary devices simply and with the greatest of ease. Speech and data are transmitted
wirelessly via radio waves. Bluetooth technology uses a frequency range that is available all over the world,
thus ensuring global communications compatibility.
How do I use the headset?
These operating instructions will provide you with information on how to use the headset with a mobile
phone. In order to use your headset, you need to link it to a mobile phone, PC or other Bluetooth-compatible
device that supports the Bluetooth headset or hands free profile. This process is called "pairing". When the
headset is paired with a mobile phone you can make calls using voice commands, provided that your mobile
phone supports this feature. The headset has been developed to allow you to make hands free calls while
keeping your mobile phone in your jacket pocket or briefcase. It has three buttons for making and receiving
calls and setting the volume.
