INSTALLING AND REPLACING GAS CONTAINERS
1 - INSTALLING GAS CONTAINERS
IMPORTANT: When installing or changing a gas cylinder or oxygen tank,
always operate in a well-ventilated location, preferably outside, never near a
flame, heat source or spark (cigarette, electric apparatus, cooker, etc.) and far
away from other people and inflammable materials.
As the CAMPINGAZ® CG 3500 cartridge is fitted with a valve, it may be
removed from this equipment and reinstalled on other CAMPINGAZ® equip-
ment in the 3500 range designed to operate exclusively with this cartridge.
A) Check that all the gas and oxygen valves are tightly closed on:
- the welding torch
- the gas valve and oxygen regulator at the end of the hoses.
B) Installing the regulator on the oxygen bottle
Screw the regulator clockwise onto the oxygen bottle as far as it will go. Manual
tightening is enough to stop it leaking. If there is a leak during this operation, conti-
nue screwing rapidly as far as possible.
C) Installing the gas valve on the CG 3500 cartridge.
If an empty cartridge is already in place, first consult the section on
"Replacing gas containers" (p. 47, paragraph 2-b)).
OXYPOWER® CV220 is specially designed and manufactured to operate exclusi-
vely with CAMPINGAZ® CG 3500 cartridges. It can be dangerous to try and fit
another cartridge not specially designed for the purpose onto equipment using a
CAMPINGAZ® cartridge.
Having read the paragraph "Important" above:
screw the gas cartridge onto valve 6 without forcing.
D) The equipment is ready for use.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use fat, oil or grease.
