b) Programming additional functions

By default, the speed controller is preprogrammed with the optimal settings.
When using LiPo rechargeable batteries to operate the vehicle, check whether low voltage protection is
enabled in the default setting of the speed controller (normally 3.2 V per cell). When low voltage detection
is disabled, LiPo rechargeable batteries are subject to a deep discharge that destroys them.
The setup button can be used to program the settings.
Proceed as follows:
• Switch on the remote control, if you have not already done so.
• Turn off the speed controller by pressing and holding
down the on/off button (A) for more than 0.5 seconds.
The red LED in the on / off button goes out.
• Keep the setup button (B) pressed and turn on the
speed controller by briefly pressing the on/off button (A).
Keep holding down the setup button (B).
• The red LED (C) flashes on the speed controller and
the engine emits several beeps (keep the setup button
(B) pressed).
Beeps are generated by a brief activation of the
motor.
• The speed controller is then in programming mode. The green LED flashes (keep the setup button pressed) and the
motor beeps. This indicates which setup function is currently selected.
Green LED flashes once briefly and 1 short beep is emitted: Forward/reverse throttle or forward throttle only
Green LED flashes twice briefly and 2 short beeps are emitted: Brake
Green LED flashes three times briefly and 3 short beeps are emitted: Low voltage detection for the LiPo battery
Green LED flashes four times briefly and 4 short beeps are emitted: Startup mode
Green LED flashes five times briefly and five short beeps are emitted: Braking power
• When the setup function you want to change is displayed (for example, for low voltage protection, the green LED
flashes three times briefly and the motor emits 3 short beeps), release the setup button.
• Now the red LED will flash. The number of red flashing signals indicates which setting value is active (for example,
for low voltage protection 3.0 V per cell, red LED flashes four times briefly and the motor emits 4 short beeps).
• Briefly press the setup button to change the setting value; the number of flashing signals from the red LED (and
motor beeps) will change accordingly (see table on the next page).
• Turn off the speed controller to exit settings mode and save the programming. If you then turn on the speed control-
ler, it will be ready for operation with the new settings.
• Follow the above steps to change the other settings.
