Mounting

Mounting is generally performed using the supplied mounting devices.
Sliding blocks are provided on the sensor for attaching the mounting bracket.
These are secured to the vehicle with M5 screws.

The sensor must be mounted at an angle of approx. 20° (see operating instruc-
tions). When using the supplied mounting devices, this angle is already defined.

NOTE
The mounting instructions can be found in the operating instructions, chapter 4.
NOTE
Degree of protection IP 65 is achieved only if the connectors and caps are
screwed into place!
Electrical connection

CAUTION
 Before connecting the device, please ensure that the operating voltage
matches the value printed on the nameplate.
 Ensure that the functional earth (FE) is connected correctly. Fault-free opera-
tion is only guaranteed if the functional earth is connected properly.
 If faults cannot be rectified, take the device out of operation. Protect the
device from accidentally being started.
