2. Installation

Heat accumulation affects the life cycle of all electric devices and is a source of hazard.
The heat generated in the housing must be allowed to escape. Therefore, the ventilation slots in the top and
bottom of the housing must not be covered. The headend base unit must only be operated in horizontal position.
If several SKS 40-00/8-00 devices are mounted next to each other or on top of each other, minimum distances of
>30 cm in all directions must be maintained.
While mounting the SKS 4-01 in a 19" cabinet, ensure that the ambient temperature and the working
temperature do not fall below –10 °C or exceed + 50 °C.
Also ensure that the headend is not exposed to dripping or splash water. The headend must be used only indoors.
