1. Product description

The headend base unit is a modular system used for fitting of headend modules and headend power supply units.
Depending on the type, the headend base units can be equipped either with up to 4 modules (SKS 40-00 and SKS
4-01) or with up to 8 modules (SKS 8-00).
A selection of headend base units allows you to implement systems for different scenarios and applications.
The base units allow simple wall installation (SKS 8-00 / 4-00), installation in 19" cabinets (SKS 4-01, including
installation frame), and connection of the components to the equipotential bonding according to the regulations.
The headend modules intended on their input side for the satellite reception have on the SAT IF input a remote
supply voltage for the LNB and DiSEqC 1.0 functions.
Therefore, they can be connected directly to the LNB.
Optionally, you can also use conventional multi-switches as input distributors. The advantage of this solution is
that you can set both the SAT IF level and the satellite via the user interface. Changes in the list of programs can
be made using remote maintenance, so that it is not necessary to change or modify the input distribution on site.
All base units have an active output combiner. It puts together the signals converted in the headend modules and
intensifies them with low noise. Channel strips with low current consumption can be supplied directly via the
output combiner. Please observe the information in section 3.2.
