3. Warming
Avoid warming of an empty percolator, this could result in dryout.

The coffee stays warm as long as the power cord is plugged in.

Always take out the percolating tube and the coffe basket from the
percoaltor before warming up cold coffee.
Unplug the appliance after use.

4. Care and cleaning

Always unplug the percolator before cleaning. Never immerse the percolator, the
base plate or power cord in water or other liquid. Do not use a dishwasher to clean
the parts.
Always clean the percolator after use. Even small quantities of

coffee grounds can impair the flavor of coffee during next brewing.

Carefully clean the percolating tube and the washer at the bottom
of the tube. The washer must move freely.
Clean the coffee basket and lid carefully from coffe grounds.

The heating element (recessed) and the nut at the bottom of

the inside should be cleaned regularly. Lime deposit may effect the
thermostat which can result in the percolator automatically switch on and
off too quickly.

Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical
detergents.
5. Descaling

For our small percolators, fill with 4.5 cups of water, and 7.5 cups for
our larger. Put the percolating tube and coffee basket in the percolator.

Let the water boil for 5 minutes to make it really warm.

Unplug the percolator.
Add lime scale and let stay for 6 hours. Dosing of lime scale should

follow the instructions on the lime scale packaging.

Empty the percolator and rinse rigorously.

Fill up the percolator with water and let it boil, with percolating tube
and coffee basket in place, until the lamp lights up.
Switch off the percoaltor and unplug it. Spill the water.
