1. First use

or after a long period of disuse
1.1 Clean and rinse the percolator, coffee basket, lid and percolating
tube with hot water. Let the parts dry.
1.2 Boil water in the percolator, with the percolating tube and coffee
basket in place, until the lamp goes on.
1.3 Pour the water from the percolator. Shut off and unplug it. Let the
percolator cool off before brewing.
Note: Never immerse the percolator, base plate or the power cord in water.
2. Coffe brewing
Check that the power cord is unplugged.
2.1 Lift the percolator away from its base and fill with desired amount
of water.
2.2 See the water level (1/6 dl/cup) at the level tube by the handle or
the level marking inside the percolator. Always fill with at least 2 cups in
our smaller percolators and 4 cups in our larger model for best result.
Less water could lead to risk of dryout.
2.3 Measure (1 for each cup) and pour coffee into the coffe basket.
Distribute the coffee evenly and put on the lid of the coffee basket.
2.4 Fit the coffee basket onto the percolating tube. Put the parts
together in the percolator.
2.5 Ensure that the percolating tube, together with coffe basket and
lid, are placed in the center of the percolator.
2.6 Press on the percolator lid proper and put the percolator on the
base plate.
2.7 Plug the mains cord to an earthed wall socket.
The brewing starts.

The coffe is ready when the indicator lamp on the percolator

lights up.
2.10 The coffe stays warm in the percolator as long as the power cord is
plugged in. Unplug the appliance after use.
Important that the appliance is unplugged until the percolator is ready for brewing
and the percolator lid is properly put on. Always keep an eye on the percolator
during brewing.
