WARNING! Risk of injury
● During operation there is a risk of burns from
− hot deep-frying oil/fat,
− hot fat splashes and
− hot surfaces.
● Do not let any liquids run into the cooking oil/fat.
● When draining the fat from the deep fat fryer
− wear fat and heat resistant gloves and a leather apron,
− use a special grease bucket made of metal with an outlet and a closable lid.
● The appliance must not be moved during operation!
● Please observe the stipulations and rules of the professional associations!
DANGER! Risk of fire, fire fighting
● If the fill level is below the minimum, there is the risk of fire!
Therefore, regularly check the level and replenish any shortfall of cooking oil or fat. Observe the
minimum and maximum fill mark!
● Do not use cooking oil/fat which has been soiled by baked goods and spices. It can ignite even
within the temperatures set by the thermostat and can froth over.
● Extinguishers approved for cooking oil and fat fires as well as a cover for the deep fat fryer must
be provided to fight fires.
● In the event of heavy smoke development, immediately place the deep-fryer cover on the deep-
fryer tub. Switch off the appliance and main switch on the building, or disconnect the plug.
● Water from sprinkler systems must not get into the deep-fryer oil/fat.
● Never try and extinguish burning oil or fat with water! If water gets into the hot deep-fryer oil, an
explosion will occur! Only use extinguishers approved for cooking oil and fat fires!
CAUTION! Risk of damage
● Do not spray or clean the appliance with water hoses, high pressure cleaners, high pressure
steam cleaners or steam cleaners!
● Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels! The foam cleaner gets into the
smallest of cracks and destroys the electrical and electronic systems!
● Do not use any caustic or acid cleaning agents on the frying basket and heating element; this
may destroy the corrosion protection and cause danger of rusting!
● If the appliance has not been used for some time, have an authorised customer service agent
check it for correct operation.
● If you cannot rectify malfunctions using the information on page 30 chapter 8. "Malfunctions and
rectification", switch off the appliance and contact the authorized customer service.
