1 Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw of the battery compartment
lid (1) and remove the battery compartment lid ().
 Insert two AAA 1.5-volt alkaline batteries into the battery
compartment inside the handle.
Note: Make sure that the - and + poles point in the right direction.
 Reattach the battery compartment lid (1) and fasten the screw with
a screwdriver ().

1 To connect the hose, push it firmly into the appliance ('click'). Make
sure the recess in the hose connection fits exactly on the projection
on housing of the appliance.
 To disconnect the hose, push the buttons (1) and pull the hose out
of the appliance ().
