Portable batteries
The integrated portable batteries have the same lifetime as the device
itself and cannot be changed. Before initial start-up and teaching-in
of the sensor, activate the device as follows: remove the battery seal.
Observe the maximum ambient temperature!
CAUTION
Battery acid. Material damage! Non-observance
may lead to functional impairment. Check porta-
ble batteries regularly for leaking. If the batteries
should leak, do not touch the leaked fluid with bare
hands. Wipe away any leaked fluid thoroughly using
a soft cloth.
Once the battery seal has been removed, the integrated portable bat-
teries have a maximum lifetime of 10 years. This is made possible by
the extremely low-power sleep mode. In sleep mode, power consump-
tion is no higher than battery self-discharge.

Lifetime
max. 10 yrs
In order to increase battery lifetime, we recommend the following
measures:
- Start operation of new devices immediately, plan stockpiling
of devices.
- Maintain constant operational temperature and humidity (around
20°C and dry).
- Set wake-up signal / status monitoring interval to be as long as
possible (e.g. > 1 x/h).
- Reduce actuation frequency (e.g. < 12 x/h).
- Do not move the device unnecessarily.
- Maintain constant storage temperature and low humidity
(+10 °C ... +20°C, dry).

Observe certified protection class when cleaning.
We recommend the following regular maintenance steps, especially if
mobility of the device is restricted:
1. Remove all dirt particles.
Clean enclosure on the outside only. Clean enclosure with household
cleaning agents. Do not use compressed air to clean.

Non-observance may lead to injuries. Remove
holder with care.
Avoid overlong storage of the device.
- Observe national, local and legal regulations concerning disposal.
- Recycle each material separately. Dispose of possibly contained
portable batteries correctly.
