Cylinder Replacement - 4-star Base
1.
Referring to step 1 on page 3, remove the base from
the cylinder.
2.
Remove the clip securing the cylinder lower tube.
Remove the cylinder lower tube from the cylinder
support column.
3.
Referring to view 2a on page 3, install cylinder removal
tool. Remove the cylinder support column from the seat
as described in step 2 on page 3.
4.
Install the new cylinder into the mounting plate in the
seat. Reinstall the base onto the cylinder and hit the base
with a plastic mallet to seat the cylinder to the base and to
the mounting plate in the seat.
5.
Flip the chair upright and sit in it several times to
ensure the cylinder is is properly seated in the seat and
base.
Shroud Replacement - 4-star Base
1.
Referring to step 1 on page 3, remove the base
from the cylinder.
2.
Grasp the shroud and pull out, while rocking the
shroud side to side, to remove it.
3.
Install the new shroud onto the base. Tap it into
place with a plastic mallet until it is fully seated on top
of the base.
4.
Reinstall the base onto the cylinder and hit the base
with a plastic mallet to seat it to the cylinder.
5.
Flip the chair upright and sit in it several times to
ensure the cylinder is is properly seated in the base.
