Cylinder Replacement - 5-star Base
1.
Position the chair as shown. Remove the base by
hitting the bottom of the cylinder with a hammer while
pulling forward on the chair base. Set Base aside.
2.
Attach the cylinder removal tool to the cylinder and
slide it down so it contacts the mechanism. Gently pull
out on the cylinder while hitting the removal tool with a
hammer until the cylinder is free.
3.
Insert the new cylinder into the mechanism and
hit the bottom of the cylinder with a hammer to ensure
it is seated in the mechanism.
4.
Slide the base onto the cylinder and hit the bottom
of the base legs with a plastic mallet to ensure it is
seated on the cylinder.
5.
Flip chair upright and sit on the seat several times
to make sure the new cylinder is properly seated.

NOTE: DO NOT hit the inner
cylinder rod with the hammer.
Hit the outer rim of the cylinder.
