OPERATING THE RECEIVER
To make a file permanent:
This function releases a file with its attribute set to Erasable.
- Press the / keys to select an erasable file to release from Saved File list.
- Press the / keys to select Permanent from the file management functions on the top
right corner of the screen.
- Pressing the OK key set the file to Permanent, and changes the attribute blank.
N N o o t t e e : The attribute of the first recording file is set to Permanent.
To erase a file:
The purpose of this operation is to change the attribute of a file
to Erasable for automatically deleting the file when HDD space
becomes insufficient.
- Press the / keys to select a file to erase from Saved File list.
- Press the / keys to select Erasable from the file
management functions on the top right corner of
the screen.
- Pressing the OK key set the file to Erasable, and changes the
attribute of the file.
N N o o t t e e : The file is subject to deletion upon insufficient HDD space when recording or in
Time-Shift. When the free space is smaller than two hours, the HDD space is deemed
insufficient.
To rename a file:
- Font table will be displayed.
- Select desired font table using Num.1~5 keys.
- Select desired character with / , / and then press the
OK key to paste character to the string.

6.7 Timer Recording

This option allows you to set a preferred channel, time, duration you wanted to record.
Main Menu HDD/VCR MODE Timer Recording Eight of the timer reservation fields are
displayed.
If you want to make reserved recording, select the fields for reserved recording, and then press
the OK key.
Setting Reservation Channel
- Select the channel using the 0-9, TVRADIO,
Setting Reservation Time
- Pressing the OK key activates the fields of month, day, year,
hour and minute.
- Press the / keys to select the fields.
- Press the 0-9, / keys to set the desired values.
- The settings shall be a value later than the current time.
Setting Reservation Duration
- Press the / keys or the Numerical (0~9) to set duration.
Setting Reservation Flag
- Press the / keys to select an option for reservation
setting. (one time, Every Day, Every Week)
Confirming Reservation
- Press the / keys and the OK key to confirm, delete or
cancel the settings.
N N o o t t e e : If reservations are overlapped, a warning message is displayed, and any changes are not
stored. The current time is set to the broadcasting time information first displayed when
turning on PVR. The current time information is used for the starting time of file playing.
The current time on EGP may be different from that described above due to fault of a
broadcasting company.
How to operate reserved recording:
Upon power-on: A message is prompted indicating start of reserved recording, and then the
power is turned off. Restore the power and proceed with the reserved
recording. Once recording is complete, the system is kept with power on.
Upon power-off: Turn the power on and proceed with recording. Once recording is complete,
the system power is turned off.
