MAINTENANCE

Check the oil level every 2 months. If necessary, fill up using the fillercap; use hydraulic oil AGIP
OSO 46 or ESSO NUTO 46 or an equivalent oil.
Every six months:
Oil the moving parts of the press and check if the pressure gauge is working.

Clean the suction filter.

Grease the winch and its cables. Check the cables and replace them if they are broken or defecti-
·
ve.
Make sure that there are no oil leaks in the circuit between the hydraulic power pack and the
·
cylinder and inside the cylinder. If there are, check the gaskets and replace them if necessary.
Inspect all components of the press every year, in order to make sure that they work properly.
The hydraulic unit (cylinder/pump) is a sealed system which normally requires only a half-yearly
lubrication of the moving parts. If there is an oil leak in the hydraulic unit and the unit is disas-
sembled in order to replace the gaskets, it will be necessary to add oil through the filler hole on
the pump ( 4 fig. 5) until the pump is filled to the level. A bigger quantity of oil may cause some
problems.
This operation must be done with the ram in rest position (fully retracted).Anyway the oil in the
hydraulic unit should be changed every two years, apart from the general state of the unit.
I ATTENTION
NEVER use brake oil.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

Dispose of the waste oil of the press in accordance with the laws in force in the country where
the machine is installed.
In case of scrapping, all the metal parts can be recycled; the rubber hoses and the press fluids
must be disposed of in accordance with the laws in force in the country where the press is in-
stalled.
Check the oil level in the tank.
Clean the suction filter.
