Use and maintenance instructions: SAFETY
2.1 SAFETY
The person in charge shall be instructed as for the risks resulting from accidents, on
the devices arranged for the operator's safety and on the accident prevention regu-
lations provided for by the directives and laws of the Country where the machine is
going to be used. While designing the machine, all the potential danger situations were
taken into consideration and the proper protections were adopted. However, the level
of accidents caused by the negligent and improper use of the machine is still high.
Distraction, superficiality and too much confidence are often causes of accidents; such
as fatigue and sleepiness. It is, therefore, compulsory to read this instruction manual
very carefully and in particular the section concerning the safety rules.
The Manufacturing Company declines any and whatever responsibility for the non
compliance with the safety and accident prevention regulations provided for by the
laws and by this manual.
2.1.1 ADOPTED TERMS
We here below list the definitions of persons and specific situations that may directly
involve the machine and/or the persons in direct contact with the machine.
• USER: The user is the person, the body or the company that has purchased or
rented the machine and who intends to use it for the intended purposes. The user is
responsible for the machine and for the training of all those using it.
• DANGEROUS AREA: Any area within and/or near a machine where the presence
of an exposed person constitutes a risk for the safety and health of the person itself
• EXPOSED PERSON: Any person who is completely or in part in a dangerous area
• OPERATOR: Person who is able to operate, maintain, clean and transport the ma-
chine.
• AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER: The authorized service centre is the structure,
