Switching on and measuring:
To switch on the RollMaster Express, press one of the
reference keys 6,7 or 8; it will switch off automatically
approx. 2 minutes after the last measurement has
been made.
The RollMaster Express measures by means of four
rollers 12 located in the back of the housing. During
measurement, good contact between the rollers and
the surface must be ensured by light pressure.
Reference points / Edges:
In standard setting, the device operates with a central
reference point, indicated by 1 on the housing. The
right and left edges of the housing serve as reference
points in the case of non-central measurement.

Measuring errors:
To prevent measuring errors, always move the
RollMaster Express in as straight a line as possible across
the surface being measured.
Changing the units of measurement:
It is possible to change between inch-ft, inch and
meter by pressing keys 6 and 8 for about 5 seconds.
Low battery display:
If the symbol 11 appears, the batteries need replacing
as soon as possible.
Measuring between two reference points:
1. Press the first reference key 6,7 or 8 to set the
starting reference point for making a new
measurement. The display shows 0.
2. Now roll the RollMaster Express across the surface
to be measured to the end position.
3. Press the second reference key 6,7 or 8 to set the
end reference point for the measurement;
measuring is now completed.
4. When measurement is completed, the
measurement result 3 for the distance blinks in the
display.

Part-distances and multiples of distance:
By pressing the point key 9 immediately after
measuring, the distance can be multiplied or
divided. A number of intermediate points (1 to 10)
can be set by pressing the key a corresponding
number of times. The device must, however,
remain in the last measuring position until the
point mode is started. It is ready to start
measuring when the display stops blinking.
• Pressing the key once [-- of 1 POINTS]:
switches to the mode for multiplying the
distance.
TIP: The end point [1 of 1 POINTS] is exactly in
the middle of the distance
• Pressing the key again [-- of x POINTS]:
switches to the mode for dividing the distance.
When the end points are reached, this is
indicated both by a signal tone and in the
display 2.
TIP: In point mode, the reference point can be
changed by pressing the reference keys 6,7 or 8.
In standard setting, reference point is in the
centre.
CALCULATION FUNCTION:
Addition of measurement results:
After a measurement has been performed, the result
of this measurement can be added to the following
measurement by pressing the addition key 10. When
the next measurement is completed, the sum of the
two results is shown in the display.
Warranty
The warranty is valid for 2 years from the date of
purchase. The warranty does not cover damage
caused by improper use or storage, normal wear and
tear, or defects which only insignificantly impair the
value of the product or its functioning. Any
tampering by unauthorised persons will render this
warranty void. In the event that you need to claim
warranty, please take the complete device together
with all information and the invoice to one of our
dealers or send it in to UMAREX-Laserliner.
