During manufacture, many parts are given a
thin film of oil to protect them. Before using
the appliance for the first time, run it without
batter so that any residues can evaporate.
Note When heating up for the first few
times, a slight smell may be produced, so
make sure the room is adequately venti-
lated.
1. Take the appliance out of the pack-
aging.
2. Check that the appliance shows no signs
of damage.
3. Clean the appliance before using it for
the first time. Observe the information in
the section entitled "7. Cleaning and
storing" on page 9.
4. Select a location that is firm, level and
not flammable. Maintain a distance of
approx. 50 cm from other objects.
