Safety notes

• Before and during use make sure that the thermostat is
functioning correctly. Children and adults with reduced
sensory capabilities should not use the product
unsupervised.
• When the domestic water system is drained, the thermostats
must be drained separately since non-return valves are
installed in the hot and cold water connections. For this
purpose, the mixer must be removed from the wall.
• Installation is only possible in frost-free rooms.
• The plug-in connectors must not be directly or indirectly
sprayed with water when cleaning.
• Use only genuine replacement parts and accessories.
The use of other parts will result in voiding of the warranty
and the CE identification, and could lead to injuries.
Application
Infrared fittings with thermostat are designed for hot water
supply via pressurised storage heaters and, utilised in this
way, provide the best temperature accuracy. With sufficient
power output (from 18 kW or 250 kcal/min), electric or gas
instantaneous heaters are also suitable.
All thermostats are adjusted in the factory at a flow pressure
of 0.3 MPa on both sides.
Should temperature deviations occur on account of special
installation conditions, the thermostat must be adapted to local
conditions (see "Adjusting").

Battery information

Use the supplied batteries for initial operation. Ensure polarity
is correct when inserting batteries! Only use batteries of the
same type. Always replace all batteries at the same time, do
not mix new and used batteries together. Do not recharge
used batteries, and do not attempt to reactivate them using
heat or other means. Discharged batteries must be removed
from the device immediately.

Installation

Flush pipes thoroughly before and after
installation (observe EN 806)!
Open hot and cold water supply and check that
connections are watertight.
Reversed connection (hot on right - cold on left)
Replace thermostatic compact cartridge, see Replacement
Parts, page 1,Prod. no. 47 175 (1/2").
When using this thermostatic cartridge, the Cool Touch
function is no longer available.
