Connection diagram

A plug has been soldered to the cable of the operating unit at the factory especially for
test and premounting sets. For the final installation, it usually has to be cut off.
The cable of the operating unit (length 6 m) can be connected directly to the IK3 evaluation unit
according to the following illustration on the condition that it does
If the operating unit has to be placed further than 6 m from the evaluation unit (max. 1200 m are
possible), a distributor must be installed in front of the operating unit with a 120
(from A to B). For details see the mounting and connection instructions of the evaluation unit.
The connection of several operating units to an evaluation unit as well as the required
synchronization is described in the mounting and connection instructions of the evaluation unit.

6.1

Overview

There is a special installation mode
alterations to existing systems, all system parts that are not affected by the alteration remain
operative when the installation mode is active.
The installation mode is activated/deactivated via programming the IDCU or EU.

The start-up procedure includes the following functions:
1.) Allocation of address
2.) Adjustment of transmission range
Specially recommended for mounting on a metal surface.

Conditions:
- The system is in a disarmed state.
- The operating voltage and RS-485 must be connected to the operating unit.
- The operating unit, evaluation unit and the central control unit must be interconnected
(connection of evaluation unit to central control unit only with BUS-2).
- The corresponding function must be activated.

Activate functions and carry out:
a) Via the programming
