CONFIGURATION WITH GWDMX SOFTWARE
General Description
GWDMX is a program that allows an interface with the DMX GW85691 control module (referred to below as the enclosure ).
Characteristics:
Enclosure remote control: it is possible to send colour programs and pre-set colours to the enclosure
Reprogramming of the enclosure firmware.
Minimum system requisites
Personal Computer with Pentium 1 Ghz processor (or higher)
Windows 2000 SP3 or higher, or Windows XP
Resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
Minimum 128 Mb of RAM
10 Mb of free space on HD
1 USB port
Installation (from the Internet)
Attention! Do not connect the enclosure to the PC USB port before installing the software.
1. Decompress the .zip file downloaded to any folder.
2. Access the folder and double click on the setup.exe file.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen. If you want to maintain the standard installation settings, just press Next each time.
4. The installation is terminated when the FTDI CDM Drivers have been successfully installed window appears. Press OK.
Installation (from CD)
Attention! Do not connect the enclosure to the PC USB port before installing the software.
1. Access the CD and double click on the setup.exe file.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen. If you want to maintain the standard installation settings, just press Next each time.
3. The installation is terminated when the FTDI CDM Drivers have been successfully installed window appears. Press OK.
Execution
From the Windows All Programs menu, select the Gewiss DMX Programmer menu and the item GWDMX.
Operation
An enclosure configuration consists of 8 pre-set colours, 4 programs, and a series of other options.
This paragraph explains how to modify an enclosure configuration.
1.
Connect the enclosure to the PC USB port.
2.
Load the default configuration from the hard disk: click on the Load File key.
3.
Select the GewissDef.dat file: the tables of pre-set colours and programs will be filled in with the factory values, but it is also
possible not to load the default file starting with data all set at 0.

If you want to modify a pre-set colour, click on the "Pre-sets" tab (in the upper part of the window) and follow the
instructions given in the relative paragraph below.

If you want to modify a program, click on the "PROGRAM 1" (2, 3, 4) tab and follow the instructions given in the relative
paragraph below.
6.
If you want to change the options, use the "Options" tab and follow the instructions given in the relative paragraph below.
7.
If you want to send the new configuration to the enclosure, click on Send to Enclosure .
8.
If you want to save the configuration on the disk, click on Save File and choose a new name for the file.
NB: the program functions even without the enclosure connected, so configurations can be edited and saved, then sent to the
enclosure later.
