Connecting the room controller
Disconnect the heating system
from the mains before making
the connection.
1. Opening and mounting
You must open the room controller to
mount the unit and to connect it to the
SolvisControl system controller. The
front cover has a recess to allow the
front plate to be lifted easily with a
screw driver. The front plate is then
swung slightly forward, then pulled
upward and removed (see figure at
right). You can now mount the base
plate on the wall using the supplied
plugs and screws.
2. Connecting
Connect a two-wire line to the two-pole
terminal of the room controller, observ-
ing the polarity (see figure at right). This
line is used for both the voltage supply
and data transfer from the mains mod-
ule.
3. Connecting to the mains module
Connect the two-wire line to one of the
terminal pairs of the mains module
(terminals "R1" for heating circuit 1
to "R3" for heating circuit 3, see the
wiring diagram of the corresponding
system in "SolvisControl – System Dia-
grams", ALS-MAX-7), observing the po-
larity. The room controller has polarity re-
versal protection so that it is not dam-
aged if the polarity is incor rect.
