MAINTENANCE ADVICE

Panerai watches are produced according to very high standards of quality. It is
worth remembering that the mechanical parts run 24 hours a day when used, so
the watch must undergo regular maintenance to ensure long life and good
operation.
The deep, homogenous color and smooth feel of the Panerai Composite are
the result of an impregnation treatment carried out after the aluminum
ceramisation process. This treatment reacts to external agents and may be
partially attenuated where it rubs against the skin, thus changing the color of
the watchcase in these areas. This does not alter the properties of the
Composite material itself, but only of its cover treatment. By passing his or her
fingers over the case, the owner can easily redistribute the special cover
treatment making it uniform again, thus restoring the original appearance to
the watchcase. If this is not enough, a maintenance kit is available at the
Panerai After-Sales Service Centre.
Being the Panerai Composite a very hard material, some traces can be left on
the watch when it hits other materials. These are not scratches on the
Composite material but rather a deposit of the material with which your watch
came into contact and can be eliminated at the Panerai After-Sales Service
Centre.

ATER RESISTANCE
Have your watch checked periodically for water-resistance by an Authorized
Panerai Service Centre and restore it every two years with regular servicing, or
whenever the watch has to be opened. The restoration of water-resistance
necessarily involves replacing the seals, so as to ensure the maximum water-
resistance and security. Where the watch is used in underwater sports
activities, it is recommended that it be checked every year before the
underwater activities begin.
