• Fix the rope to a suitable stable bracket. For immersion depths
greater than 3 m, the power cord must be secured to the rope
with suitable clips for safety reasons.
• Connect the hose you are using to the outlet opening (1) of the
deep well pump with a suitable connection piece.
Do not place the deep well pump with the suction holes
(4) in dirt, mud or sand to prevent the suction holes
from clogging. In addition, this can lead to damage to
the deep well pump.

9. Setup

Check the power cord with mains plug for damage before each use. The product must not be operated if
the power cord and/or the mains plug are damaged. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• After you have placed and secured the deep well pump, plug the mains plug into a proper grounded mains socket.
For outdoor operation, it must be an IP44 mains socket.
The mains plug may be plugged into the mains socket only when it is dry. Otherwise there is a risk of a fatal
electric shock!
The power cord should face down from the mains socket to prevent water from returning to the mains
socket.
• The deep well pump begins to draw water and deliver it through the outlet opening. Open the attached spreader,
shower, or sprinkler so that air can escape and water can be pumped.
If no water is pumped, there is still air in the deep well pump and the hose. If necessary, you can speed up the
suction process by moving the deep well pump back and forth. It would also be possible to add water to the hose
(first switch off the deep well pump/disconnect it from the mains).
In any case, make sure that the pump does not run dry as it has no dry run protection.
