1. always disconnect the plug from the mains
before cleaning the kettle and base.
2. Base, cable and kettle must never be immersed
into water.
3. Wipe the kettle and base with a moist cloth
and a drop of washing-up liquid. Never use
an aggressive scouring or steel wool.
4. Cable and plug must be dried completely
before being used again.
5. Descale the kettle
once a week, depending on the hardness
of the water and the frequency of use.
Scale significantly diminishes the heating
performance of the kettle.
6. To descale fill half the kettle with a mixture
of water and vinegar. Bring to the boil and
then leave it to stand overnight. Next day
regularly, possibly
pour away and fill the kettle with fresh water
and bring to the boil again. This water must
also be poured away. Rinse twice with fresh
water and wipe with a towel.
7. Normal commercial descalers for kettles
can also be used. Follow the instructtions
for the respective descaler.
8. To clean the filter, empty the kettle and let
it cool down.
9. Then pull the filter out of the spout.
10. Clean it with a soft brush or place it for
some time in a dish with descaler or vinegar
solution. Then rinse it thoroughly with clear
water and place it into the spout again.
Please be careful not to damage the filter
mesh.
