The system is designed for regulating the room temperature, by
cutting the flow of water inside the heat exchanger.
Available for all models, with the standard heat exchanger alone or with the
supplemental DF heat exchanger, the kit comprises the components
indicated below.
Servocontrol: normally closed, electrothermal type, 230V single-phase,
with ON/OFF operating mode, it acts directly at the valve cut-off.
Valve body: 3-way with built-in bypass (4 couplings):
- 3/4" for models UTN 6, UTN 6A, UTN 8, UTN 8A
- 1" for models UTN 12, UTN 12A, UTN 16, UTN 16A

Hydraulic connecting kit: made of copper pipes and brass unions,
complete with valve and angle plate holder. It differs according to the
models, the affected heat exchanger (standard or supplemental if dealing
with a 4-pipe system) and also the direction of the hydraulic couplings:

The appropriate choice of the kits in the list permits to satisfy any
installation requirement and the orienting of the standard and/or supplemental
heat exchanger (DF option).
Regardless of the diameter of the valve body (that is usually oversized for
limiting flow resistance), the threaded couplings at the ends of the kit as a
whole, which is made up of the valve and the hydraulic couplings, have the
same diameter as the heat exchangers of the basic machine.
NOTE: for sizes 22 and 30, the complete kit cannot be supplied. Only the
valves and the relative servo-motor may be supplied.
The reason is because it is preferable to install units and valves of those
sizes, together with the associated servo-motors, not at the back of the
units but in a position adjacent to the main hydraulic circuit.
Control panel: available as an accessory, designed for being remotely
assembled in the versions indicated below.

Warning! Before beginning the installation operations, cut power
to the air-handling unit and to any other equipment of accessory
that may be connected to the unit (even if only from a mechanical
point of view).
Hydraulic connections
Install the servocontrol on the valve body and assemble the valve-
connecting hydraulic kit as shown in figures 1, 2, 3 and 4, and then fix
it to the heat exchanger:
Figure 1
Figure 2
Figure 3
Figure 4
The installation may be performed for air-handling units with hydraulic
couplings either on the left or on the right-hand side. When gaskets or
tapered couplings are not envisaged, the hydraulic tightness must be
ensured by appropriate means (for instance, Teflon tape or the like).
With regard to air-handling units fitted with the supplemental heat
exchangers setup for 4-pipe systems (DF option), mount each of the 2
hydraulic kits separately repeating the aforesaid operations.
The operation of the valve may be disabled by selecting the "manual"
mode turning the lever on the servocontrol by 90°. As such, the valve
will be in the direct-passage position.
Installation of the control panel
Install the remote control panel referring to the associated manual.
Electric wiring
Make the electric connections with power OFF.
Closely adhere to the wiring diagrams and to every other warning and
instruction.
Prepare an individual current socket and a switch with a suitable
protection fuse for every air-handling unit.
