OPERATION

Before Use
• Do not place the water heater near walls, furniture or other electrical appliances.
Expelled steam and heat can deform or discolour walls, furniture and appliances.
• Place the water heater only on stable, level surfaces. On a soft, flexible surface, the
appliance may tip over and you may scalding.
Notes on Operation
Note: If the power cord is damaged, do not use the water heater again and have it
replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a similarly qualified
person.
• The water heater may only be used for hot water preparation. Bubbles may form
when heating tea, milk or wine. This increases the risk of scalding, jamming the
rising pipe and burning or damaging the tank.
• Do not press the automatic water outlet button when the water is boiling or within
the first 5 minutes of cooking. Otherwise, you may scalding yourself with the hot
water leaking or no water leaking out.
• Do not move the appliance while dispensing or pouring out water. You may get
scalded by the hot water that is spilled out.
• Add water immediately if the water level in the tank drops below the refill mark. If
there is too little water in the tank, it may burn, damage the water heater or break
out in a fire.
• Do not open the lid and do not pour out water while the appliance is heating up.
Spilled out hot water may cause scalding.
• When moving the appliance, do not touch the button to open the lid. If the lid opens
suddenly, it may cause scalding or injury.
• Wait until the housing has cooled down before cleaning the water heater. When
pouring out the remaining water, be careful not to get scalded.
Initial use of the hot water dispenser
• Drain all the remaining water that is in the water tank after the first boil and pour it
away.
• An unpleasant odour may occur when the appliance is used for the first time. If you
have used the appliance several times, the smell will gradually decrease.
