Maintenance
and Cleaning
Your grill is made of high-quality mate-
rials. To clean and maintain the surfaces,
please heed the following instructions:
Danger Burning hazard!
Let the grill cool down completely
before cleaning it.
– Only tip out the ash when the fuel has
completely burned out.
Danger Health hazard!
Do not use any paint removers
or thinners to remove stains.
Such substances are harmful to
health and must not come into
contact with food.
Warning Risk of damage!
Do not use any strong or grind-
ing solvents or abrasive pads
since these can damage the
surfaces and cause permanent
scrape marks.
•
Clean the grill regularly, preferably
after every use.
•
Let the fuel burn out completely
after grilling. This makes the cleaning
easier as any excess fat and barbecue
residues burn away.
•
Remove the grate and clean it thor-
oughly with soapy water. Then dry
it off thoroughly.
•
Empty out the cold ash. It is very
important that you remove the
ash from the grill body before any
moisture combines with the cold
ash. Ash is saline and, in a moist
condition, it will damage the insi-
de of the grill body. If this happens
regularly over years, the grill body
can sustain damage through rust.
•
Use a wet sponge to remove loose
residue from the grill.
•
Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do
not scratch the surfaces when wiping
them dry.
•
Clean the inner and outer surfaces
with warm soapy water as a general
practice.
•
Tighten all screws before every use
to ensure that the grill stands stable
at all times.
