1. Retract pusher until it is in the locked position (Fig. 1)
2. Load fasteners into guide channel (Fig. 2)
3. Push the button and slide the pusher to the fully
forward position. (Fig. 3)
Note: Use only fasteners recommended by DEWALT for
use in DEWALT tools or fasteners that meet DEWALT
specifications.
TOOL OPERATION (Fig. 4)
1) Position flooring as per flooring manufacturer's
specification.
2) Place tool on flooring with guide plate above the tongue
and firmly against the forward face of the flooring
material.
3) Ensure that the plastic foot is firmly held against top
surface of the flooring. Using the rubber face, swing the
hammer striking the top end of the plunger (Fig. 4 (A)).
CORRECT FASTENER PLACEMENT
When the tool is properly shimmed and with the correct
air pressure, the fasteners should be set into the flooring
tongue. (Figs. 5A,B,C). However, some adjustment may be
required to ensure the correct drive depth as follows:
Important: Always test on a scrap piece of flooring first.
Fig. 5A
• Air pressure too low.
• Fastener above tongue.
• Increase air pressure.
Fig. 5B
• Air pressure too high.
• Fastener buried.
• Lower air pressure.
Fig. 5C
• Correct air pressure.
• Fastener just below surface.
