The appliance must be connected to the EQUIPOTENTIAL system. The connector is situated near
the end of the electric cable and is identified by a label with the symbol shown on figure 4 (page 3).
When using a safety switch for fault currents, the following should be observed:
- According to current legislation, this kind of appliances can have a leakage current of 1mA
per kW of rated power input with no maximum. It should also be noted that all fault current
protection switches available on the market have a current tolerance of less than 50%;
therefore, a suitable switch should be chosen.
- Connect only one single appliance to each switch.
In some cases, after long periods of inactivity or with a new installation, it is possible that the
appliance trips the safety switch when it is turned on. The reason for this is usually moisture in the
insulation. The problem can be solved by a short pre-heating that bypasses the safety thermostat.
ATTENTION! All the parts protected and sealed by manufacturer can not be regulated by
the installer if not specifically indicated.
Connection to the water mains
Connect the water inlet pipe to the mains, following the rules stipulated by the norms in force.
Drainage
The cooking vat is to be drained thanks to the drain valve on the outer front side of the appliance.
Before draining the cooking vat, place a container made of some suitable material and having a
capacity of at least 20 lt. under the drain valve.

In order to switch on the appliance heating elements, proceed in the following way:
- Turn the knob (2) into the desired position. The green light will light up, showing that the
heating elements are on.
It is advisable to set the heating element to the maximum temperature, so to reach the desired
temperature in a short time, and to leave it in this position for a few minutes. Then, turn the knob
into the desired position.
In order to switch off the appliance, turn the knob back into position 0.
Filling the cooking vat (fig. 5 – page 4)
Check that the drain tap, placed outside the appliance, is closed tightly. Then, turn the water filling
knob (1) counterclockwise and fill in the cooking vat up to the level mark.

Before draining the cooking vat, place a container made of some suitable material and having a
capacity of at least 20 lt. under the drain valve.
The cooking vat is to be drained thanks to the drain valve on the outer part of the appliance by
lifting the lever (3) and turning it counterclockwise.
