INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
ATTENTION
• Read carefully these instructions before using the appliance for the first time and keep it
for future enquiries.
• Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are
potentially dangerous.
• Place the scale on a horizontal, rigid surface.
• Do not place on carpets or any other soft surface, as the weigh given would be erroneous.
• Ensure the surface where you place the bathroom scale and the platform of the scale is
dry to avoid slipping.
• Do not jump on or off the scale.
• The appliance switches off automatically a few seconds after weighing.
• It is advisable to weigh always yourself at the same time, preferably before breakfast.
IMPORTANT
- For a good conductivity and a correct analysis result of the body fat, body water, body
bone, body muscle, body mass index (BMI) and the basal metabolic rate (BMR) please
weigh always barefoot.
- Do not use it if you have a pacemaker and neither with electric or electronic devices.
- Do not use during pregnancy period.
- The excess of liquids, some medical conditions, the ingestion of foods, the menstrual
cycle and so on could make the results change.
• The scale is not apt for commercial transactions or medical purposes.
• Designed for domestic use only.
• Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water. If necessary clean the scale with a
damp cloth.
• When cleaning do not use chemical or abrasive products, such as metallic scourers, which
may deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.
INFORMATION
Measure method
• This scale works under BIA system measure, bioelectric impedance analysis.
• BIA system measure allows to get the corporal results in some seconds by a small electrical current,
totally inoffensive that even you will not notice.
• The muscle tissue is a tissue with a high water percentage, offering an easy electrical conductivity.
In the other hand the fat has less water offering a poor electrical conductivity.
• With the measure of the electrical resistance and the personal data inserted (age, height, gender)
the scale gives the corporal fat and all the other corporal percentages.
