2 For your safety
Intended use
The pressure regulator should be used primarily for
O
industrial applications.
The pressure regulator may only be used within the
O
limits listed in the technical data.
Intended use includes having read and understood these
instructions, especially the chapter "For your safety".
Improper use
It is considered improper use when the pressure regulator
is used for any application not stated in these
W
instructions, or
is used under operating conditions that deviate from
W
those described in these instructions.
Personnel qualifications
Assembly and commissioning require basic electrical and
pneumatic knowledge. Assembly and commissioning may
therefore only be carried out by qualified electrical or
pneumatic personnel or an instructed person under the
direction and supervision of qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel are those who can recognize possible
hazards and institute the appropriate safety measures due
to their professional training, knowledge, and experience,
as well as their understanding of the relevant conditions
pertaining to the work to be done. Qualified personnel must
observe the rules relevant to the subject area.

General instructions:
Observe the regulations for accident prevention and

environmental protection for the country where the
device is used and at the workplace.
Do not change or modify the device.

During assembly:
Make sure the relevant system component is not under
W
pressure or voltage before assembling the product or
when connecting and disconnecting plugs. Protect the
system against being switched on.
During operation:
Never change from oiled to oil-free compressed air.
W
Use only the oils approved by AVENTICS.
W
The max. controlled pressure must be at least 1 bar
W
below the working pressure to prevent leaks in static
state.
Disposal:
Scrap the device in accordance with local regulations.

3 Device description
The pressure regulator is a device for controlling the
pressure of individual valves from the HF04 and LP04
series. The pressure regulator regulates the working
pressure for valve position 1 (1). The valve at valve position
2 (2) is not regulated. A pressure gauge can be connected to
the push-in fitting (8) to read off the regulated pressure.
