Transport and storing regulations

The filter should be only transported in the original case or in appropriate packing.
Protect the filter against heat and humidity if it is set out of use for a longer period of time.
The sample gas pump must be stored in roofed, dry, vibration- und dust free room. Temperature should be
between –20°C and +50°C (-4°F to 122°F).

Installation and connection

4.1

Mounting

The sample gas filter is mounted to the wall using the holder (see drawing in data sheet attached). The
place of installation should be weather shielded.
Make sure that the access to the installation site is safe and free, also for maintenance carried out later.
4.2

Connecting the sample tube

The sample tubes must be connected with appropriate fittings (NPT ¼").
To avoid cold spots mind the following hints: The connection fitting for the sample tubes should be as short
as possible and the insulation of the sample tube should fit into the filter insulation as close as possible.
For carrying out this step remove the insulation by loosing the fixing bolts.

Breakage hazard
The insulation is brittle. Handle with care, don't drop it.
Longer sample tubes may require fixing brackets on their way down to the system.
If the filter was ordered with calibration port (types AHF-22-...-K), connection has to be made properly as
well (6 mm tube).
After all tubes have been fixed and checked, put the insulation back in place and secure it carefully.

Gas leakage
Check the tightness of all tubes.
