3.1.1 & 3.1.2 Examples of using
3.1.1 / To rescue a person (the rescuer descends)
1/
The rescuer fixes the carabiner to an anchor point. Then he fixes the other carabiner
to his harness.

He guides the long rope end through the eyebolt and the rope clamp. Then the
rescuer unlooks his PPE. He is know in stable position.

Now the rescuer unhooks the long rope end from the rope clamp and puts it around
the upper left eyebolt. He holds the hand wheel and stay in position. Then he can
starts his descent to the descent.
4/
The rescuer reachs the victim. He guides the rope to the eye bolt and to the rope
clamp. He is now again suspended in a stable position. The rescuer hooks the victim
to him thanks a lanyard. Now both are suspended on the rescue device.
5/
Using the hand wheel, the rescuer lifts himself and the victim.
Attention: check the correct direction of the hand wheel.
Danger: The loose end of the rope will form a loop. After every second turn of the
hand wheel, the rescuer has to pull on the rope to put it in tension
6/
The rescuer wants to descend to the ground. He loosens the longer rope end from
the rope clamp and runs it over the upper left eyebolt. He descents together with the
victim.
