Low battery
warning/power-saving
mode
The Ultron is equipped with a low-battery
detection system, which automatically switches the
unit into a power-saving mode, when a failing
battery is detected. When this happens, the main
LED will flicker rapidly for 20 seconds when the
unit is triggered, instead of illuminating constantly.
This indicates to the user that the battery is low, as
well as saving power. In addition, the maximum
volume available is reduced to half-way. i.e. the
volume will be automatically reduced, if it was
set above half way. Once power-saving mode
has been entered, only four volume settings are
available.
Power-saving mode helps to reduce the demand
on the battery and will prolong its life. However,
to ensure continued operation, the battery should
be replaced as soon as possible when a low
battery warning has been given.
