5.4 Announcements via the DJ microphone
1) For the time being, press the switch PAD (15).
Thus, a low microphone sensitivity is activated.
2) Adjust the volume of the microphone announce-
ment with the control LEVEL (14). [Note: In the
position "0", the volume is not set to zero; it is only
set to a low level.] If the volume is too low, switch off
the switch PAD to increase the microphone sensi-
tivity. Then close the control LEVEL (14) accord-
ingly.
3) Adjust the sound with the equalizer controls (13) by
boosting or attenuating (max. 15 dB) the high fre-
quencies (control HIGH), midrange frequencies
(control MID), and bass frequencies (control LOW).
After the sound adjustment, readjust the level with
the control LEVEL (14), if required.
5.5 Prefader listening to the channels
The prefader listening feature PFL allows individual
monitoring of the two input channels CH 1 and CH 2
via headphones connected to the jack PHONES (9),
even if the corresponding channel is faded out. Thus,
it is possible e. g. to select the desired title on a CD or
to time the right moment for fading in an audio source.
1) For monitoring a channel, set the respective PFL
PAN control (5) to the corresponding position. Con-
trol at the left stop: Prefader listening to channel
CH 1 is possible. Control at the right stop: Prefader
listening to channel CH 2 is possible. With the con-
trol in the intermediate positions (e. g. mid-posi-
tion), a mixed signal of CH 1 and CH 2 will be
audible.
2) Adjust the desired headphone volume with the con-
trol PFL LEVEL (4).
5.6 Monitoring the music programme via a
monitoring system
The current music programme can be monitored
ahead of the master control (2) via a monitoring
system connected to the jacks BOOTH (20). Adjust the
level for the monitoring system with the control
BOOTH (3).
