Servicing and care

To ensure proper function of the
smoke alarm, an inspection accord-
ing to DIN 14676-1 is recommend-
ed at least once every 12 months
(plus/minus 3 months). To do so,
proceed as follows:
1. As necessary, wipe off the dust
from the smoke alarm with a soft
piece of cloth.
2. As necessary, remove any
contamination with a wet cloth. Do
not use any cleaning agents.
3. Check the following points:
Observe national regulations and guidelines.
Are the smoke inlets free?
Is the smoke alarm damaged?
Is there sufficient clearance
of > 0.5 m around the smoke
alarm?
Has the function of the room
been changed?
4. Check the function by pressing
the test button (refer to the table
on the following page)
The alarm function can only be
checked with the test button.
