2.1
Installation of smoke alarms under special conditions
Under the following installation
conditions, smoke alarms can be
installed sideways at the long wall
of rooms and in the centre as
possible:
If installation at the ceiling is not
possible, e.g. in case of textile
ceilings, overhead heating
or ceilings with insufficient
load-bearing capacity.
Observe national regulations and guidelines.

If an increased number of false
alarms is to be expected due
to installation at the ceiling.
However, this only applies to
rooms and hallways with a floor
space of ≤ 6 m² or kitchens that
are used as emergency escape.
