9.1 CHANGING THE CUTTING BLADE

BAND SAW WITH VERY SHARP BLADE AND
UNDER VOLTAGE.
The cutting blade and the electric voltage on the band
saw may cause serious bodily harm due to cuts and
electrocution and the band saw may break down.
Before changing the cutting blade, disconnect the
band saw from the mains power supply.
Use protective elements such as gloves, protective
eyewear and clothing and appropriate footwear.
1. Disconnect the band saw from the mains power
supply.
2. Raise the arch to the upright position (Fig. 47).

3. Loosen the handle (A) and lower the cutting blade
guide (B) and the front cover to the utmost (Fig. 48).
4. Remove the rear cover of the cutting blade by
unscrewing the 5 screws in the base (C) - (Fig. 49). Use
the 2 mm Allen key for this purpose (Fig. 32.).

5. Loosen the cutting blade as much as possible by
turning the tightening knob (E) in an anticlockwise
direction (Fig. 50).
