8. USING THE PORTABLE BAND SAW

A: Press the unblocking actuator backwards
B: Press the start up actuator into the upright position.
To keep the band saw running, keep both actuators
pressed at the same time (Fig. 44). To stop the motor,
release either of the two actuators.

8.8 USEFUL HINTS FOR MAKING A
GOOD CUT
With the band saw held as previously illustrated (Fig. 42),
first press back the unblocking actuator (A) and then raise
the start up actuator (B). Both triggers are located on the
lower handle (Fig. 43).
BAND SAW WITH VERY SHARP BLADE AND
UNDER VOLTAGE.
In the event of negligent use of the band saw, the
cutting blade and the voltage on of the band saw
could cause serious personal injury from cuts and
electrocution and the band saw may break down.
Before proceeding, please ensure that the band saw
is disconnected from the electricity mains.
Use protective elements such as gloves, protective
eyewear and clothing and appropriate footwear.
Bear in mind the instructions for correct portable
use.
In order to make a perpendicular cut, always lean the
band saw so that its cutting end stop is correctly placed
on the element to be cut (Fig. 45, 46).
