Repair

7.1

Replacing measurement unit

1. Disconnect all the measurement cables at the mea-
surement unit and remove the sensors.
2. Disconnect the power supply cable on the underside
of the measurement unit.
3. Disconnect the USB cable on the underside of the
measurement unit.
4. Slacken off the two bolts on the base plate beneath
the measurement unit.
5. Use an open-ended wrench to unfasten the nut on
the inside of the holder.
6. Detach the measurement unit.

Make exclusive use of 3.9 x 6.5 self-tapping screws
when fitting the measurement unit. The maximum
screw length of 6.5 is not to be exceeded. The use
of longer screws would damage the printed circuit
board.

Later generation measurement units are secured
by welded-on studs and nuts.
7. Fit the new measurement unit in the reverse order of
removal.
8. Check operation (refer to Section 6).

Operation must always be checked following
repair work and replacement of the measurement
unit.
7.2

Replacing monitor

1. Unplug the mains connector of the monitor at the
multiple socket outlet on the back of the trolley.
2. Disconnect the power cord on the underside of the
monitor.
3. Release the video cable holder and detach the video
cable.
4. Slacken off the four bolts on the back of the monitor
at the monitor mounting plate.
5. Detach the monitor.
6. Fit a new monitor in the reverse order of removal.

Replacing computer unit

1. Unplug the mains connector of the computer unit at
the multiple socket outlet on the back of the trolley.
2. Slacken off the four bolts and remove the back
panel.
3. Slacken off the two bolts of the PC mounting bracket
and remove the bracket.
4. Unplug all the connectors at the computer unit and
disconnect the cables (power, video, PS2, serial and
USB cables).
5. Remove the computer unit from the trolley.
6. Install a new computer unit in reverse order of re-
moval.

Pay attention to correct assignment of the connec-
tion sockets on installing the new computer unit.

Replacing remote control receiver

The remote control receiver is located beneath the
mouse shelf of the trolley.
1. Open the keypad flap.
2. Unfasten both nuts at the housing of the remote con-
trol receiver and carefully pull the housing forwards
out of the opening in the intermediate panel.
3. Unplug the connectors on the back of the remote
control receiver.
4. Slacken off the two printed circuit board bolts.
5. Take the printed circuit board out of the housing.
6. Insert a new printed circuit board in the housing.
7. Secure the printed circuit board in position again
with the two bolts.
8. Re-install the remote control receiver in reverse
order of removal.
9. Perform channel setting for the remote control (refer
to the operating instructions 1 689 979 936).
