Taking out the rechargeable battery
1. Switch off the electrical system fi rst. To do so,
press the M button on the display for 2 se-
conds.
2. To remove the lid from the battery box, turn
the key clockwise (Fig. 12a) and remove the
lid as shown in Fig. 12b.
3. Slot the rechargeable batteries into the hol-
ders provided (Fig. 12c).
4. Close the lid as shown in Fig. 12d and turn
the key fi rmly in a counterclockwise direction.

6. Before using the equipment

The equipment is supplied without batteries
and without a charger!
6.1 Fitting/adjusting the saddle (Fig. 3a-3d):
The procedure for fi tting the saddle is shown in
Figs. 3a-3d. The seat post (Fig. 3c/Item 2) has a
safety height mark which must not be exposed.
Saddle angle: To ensure that you do not fall
forwards when cycling, it is advisable for the front
end of the saddle to be angled slightly upwards;
the front and rear positions can be adjusted ac-
cording to your individual height requirements.
6.2 Fitting/adjusting the handlebars
(Fig. 4a-4d):
Slacken the screws as shown in Fig. 4a. Turn the
stem (Fig. 4b/Item 5) through 180° and undo the
screws as shown in Fig. 4b. Now fi t the handle-
bars (Fig. 4c/Item 6) and fasten the screws. Fi-
nally, tighten all the screws on the stem as shown
in Fig. 4d.
Stand in front of your electric bike and hold the
front wheel between your legs. Hold the handle-
bars fi rmly with both hands. Adjust the handlebars
so that they are at right-angles to the top tube of
your electric bike. Tighten all the screws again
after you have fi nished adjusting.
6.3 Adjusting the suspension fork
(Fig. 5a-5b):
You can adjust the spring preload of the fork by
turning the setting screw on the right-hand side of
the fork crown (Fig. 5a/Item A).

Notes on adjustment
The suspension element (suspension fork) can
be adjusted to account for your weight, your
riding style and the terrain. When you adjust the
suspension, only ever make one change at a time
and always make a note of it. In this way you will
know exactly what impact each change has on
the way in which the bike handles. The suspensi-
on element has a lockout to enable the compres-
sion or rocking to be suppressed if required, e.g.
on steep asphalt ascents.
As a general rule it can be said that when you ride
over uneven ground, the operation of the suspen-
sion element should certainly be noticeable but it
should not compress as far as the stop. With the
rider positioned on the middle of the bike, the sus-
pension element should compress to about 25%
of the range of the suspension.
To adjust the compliance of your suspension ele-
ment correctly, you need to adjust the spring rate/
air pressure. If you adjust the air pressure, this will
also change the overall stiff ness of the suspensi-
on element. The more you pump up the suspensi-
on element, the harder it will become.
Adjusting the compliance
To fi ll with air or let air out, unscrew the valve cap
(Fig. 5a/Item B) by turning it clockwise. To let air
out of the air chamber, press the valve pin down.
The valve cap on the suspension element must
always be in place when the bike is being used, to
prevent any dirt getting into the valve.
Slide the 0-ring (Fig. 5b/Item C) for the suspensi-
on range indicator right down.
Carefully position yourself on the middle of the
bike and then get off again.
Important: If you exert too much load on the bike
when you get on and off , you will get inaccurate
measurement results.
Check the position of the 0-ring on the housing of
the suspension element. Check whether the com-
pliance is within the 25% range.
If the compliance is compressed by less than
25%, you need to reduce the air pressure.
6.4 Fitting the front wheel (Fig. 6a-6g):
First, remove the plastic lug (for protecting the
brake linings) as shown in Fig. 6a/Item A. Then
follow the steps shown in Figs. 6b-6g for assem-
bly.
Make absolutely sure that the brake disk is cor-
rectly positioned between the brake linings!
