2.2 Items supplied

Please check that the article is complete as
specifi ed in the scope of delivery. If parts are
missing, please contact our service center or the
sales outlet where you made your purchase at
the latest within 5 working days after purchasing
the product and upon presentation of a valid bill
of purchase. Also, refer to the warranty table in
the service information at the end of the operating
instructions.

Open the packaging and take out the equip-
ment with care.
•
Remove the packaging material and any
packaging and/or transportation braces (if
available).
•
Check to see if all items are supplied.
•
Inspect the equipment and accessories for
transport damage.
•
If possible, please keep the packaging until
the end of the guarantee period.
Danger!
The equipment and packaging material are
not toys. Do not let children play with plastic
bags, foils or small parts. There is a danger of
swallowing or suff ocating!

3. Proper use

Before you use your electric bike on the public
highway, please familiarize yourself with the
relevant applicable regulations in force in your
country. You can obtain this information from your
dealer, the national cycling or electric bike associ-
ations in your country and from the Internet. They
will be able to advise you about the equipment
required for your electric bike for you to be per-
mitted to use it on the public highway. They will
provide you with descriptions of the light systems
which have to be fi tted or taken with you, and the
brakes which have to be fi tted to the bike. The
relevant applicable regulations in force in your
country set out details about applicable age limits
and about where you are allowed to cycle or must
cycle at which age. They also cover the regulati-
ons for children on the public highway. If there are
requirements for a helmet to be worn, this will be
stated.
Carrying baggage with you is only permitted for
electric bikes if suitable equipment for securing
the baggage is fi tted to the bike. In this case the
maximum load capacity of the bicycle rack and
the maximum permissible overall weight of the
vehicle must not be exceeded.
For cycling on roads and paths such as:
•
Paved roads and cycle lanes
•
Roads, paths and tracks surfaced with sand,
gravel or similar materials (e.g. forest tracks,
farm tracks)
•
Hard-surfaced and unsurfaced hiking trails
where roots, swells, stones and depressions
are more frequently encountered
Where the wheels are in permanent contact with
the surface or only loose contact with the ground
momentarily as a result of unevenness caused by
roots or similar (no jumps, no cycling on just one
wheel, no braking involving the rear wheel losing
contact with the ground).
The electric bike is to be used only for its prescri-
bed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a
case of misuse. The user / operator and not the
manufacturer will be liable for any damage or inju-
ries of any kind caused as a result of this.
