or similarly designed models and equipped to be used by specialists
on regulated roads.
Warning: The use of the bike for an intention different than those
for which it was designed may cause severe accidents, including
death. In the case of child bikes, be sure that the children know
well how to drive the bike, especially the brake system.
Warning: In some countries, like the United Kingdom, the left
brake acts on the rear wheel and the right brake acts on the
front wheel. Before using the bike for the first time, check the
interaction between the brakes and the wheels.
Attention: Like all mechanical parts, your bike parts are
subject to wear down. The various parts and materials may
react to wear and fatigue in different ways. When the useful life
of a part is exceeded, it may suddenly break and cause injuries
to the rider. Cracks, scratches and worn colors on the most
used areas indicate that the part has already exceeded its
useful life and needs to be changed.

2 LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR
USING ROADS.
When using public roads with your bike, it must be equipped as per
the indications of the standards in that country.
If you acquired or wish to use the bike in a country other than
Germany, ask your BMW dealer about the valid conditions in that
country.
Basically, the same norms that apply to bikes are the same that
apply to the riders. Be familiar with the specific traffic standards of
the country.
In Germany, the Law of Road Transportation Approval (StVZO) and
the regulation on vehicle access to highway traffic (FZV) determine
the brake devices and lighting and indicate the requirement to
carry a bell that sounds clearly. In addition, all riders are required to
maintain their bike in a state that permits their operation. Specifically,
it is summarized in the following:
2.1 Brake system.
Maximum
A bike must have at least two independent and functioning brakes,
luggage
one for the front wheel and another for the rear.
weight
2.2 Lighting system.

instructions in
All of the bikes' lighting devices must be officially verified. This is
