Cleaning the Wavebox
Thoroughly clean the pump in regular intervals,
at least once a year. In case of unfavourable
conditions, such as high lime content or a lot of
sediment, shorter intervals may be necessary
(about three months).
Clean the pump in such a way that the lime and
debris is removed from all moveable parts, which
include, among other things, suction housing (1),
drive unit with hydro propeller (1) as well as rotor
compartment (3).
Important points:
The pump drive runs on aqueous filter bearings.
For this reason, good water circulation in the
rotor compartment is important. Aquarium water
supersaturated with lime or sedimentation drawn
in may clog the water path, which may lead to the
blockage of the entire drive. For this reason, the
following parts should be checked and cleaned, if
and when necessary:
Bearing bush: the surface (4) should be clean and
without traces of lime.
Nettoyage de la Wavebox
Au minimum, nous recommandons un nettoyage
annuel complet de la pompe. En cas d'utilisation
sous conditions difficiles (sursaturation en calcium
ou forte sédimentation), un nettoyage plus fréquent
(tous les 3 mois) pourrait s'avérer nécessaire.
Assurez-vous que toutes les parties mobiles de la
pompe soient nettoyées, ce qui englobe la chambre
de la turbine (1), l'entraînement avec hydropulseur
(2) ainsi que la chambre du rotor (3).
Points importants :
L'entraînement de la pompe est lubrifié à l'eau
et nécessite une bonne circulation d'eau dans la
chambre du rotor. Des eaux sur-saturées en calcium
ou une aspiration de sédiments peuvent obstruer
certains passages et conduire au blocage complet
de l'entraînement en peu de temps. Pour cette
raison, les pièces suivantes doivent être contrôlées
et nettoyées le cas échéant :
Palier externe : les entrées d'eau (4) doivent être
propres et sans tartre.
