NOTE: the above table shows only the air required for the blast nozzle. Additional air is
required for the air cartridge cleaning, which must be added to the above values..
The above values are valid for nozzles when new. As nozzle wear increases, so does the
air consumption, up to 70% to 80% more than when new.
4. Set-up, Operation and Shut Down

4.1. Installation and Set-up

4.1.1 Location
A location should be chosen where compressed air, water and electrical services are
readily available. Access to all doors and service areas must be possible, as well as enough
space for efficiently handling large parts.
4.1.2 Compressed Air Supply Line
The compressed air supply line should be connected with min. I.D. = 1/2"" to the cabinet
inlet. Use a flexible hose with the same min. I.D. as the main air line when connecting. Blasting
performance may be diminished by using an air supply line or hose with a smaller diameter.
ATTENTION!
Before using the blast cabinet, make sure that all pipe fittings and hose
clamps are tight. Serious injury could occur if the hose is disconnected
while under pressure.
4.1.3 Grounding
The cabinet must be grounded to prevent the build up of static electricity. Attach an
externally grounded wire to the grounding lug at the cabinet skirt.
