Precautions and operating instructions.
• Repeat the cleaning cycle if necessary, but leave the appliance stand for 3
minutes between one cycle and another. Ultrasonic cleaner Model no. 05446 can
function continuously for a number of cleaning cycles. The detergent in the
appliance becomes hot as a result of the high energy it absorbs. Detergent
temperature can exceed 50° C. This is quite normal.
• Ultrasonic power is reduced if very heavy or bulky objects are placed in
the appliance. Do not place objects weighing over 500 g of objects bigger than 1/3
of the volume of the tank in the appliance.
• The finish of particularly delicate objects could spoil if they come into
direct contact with the appliance's metal tank during cleaning.
• Do not use the appliance to clean eyewear with surface treated organic
lenses (anti-glare, mirror, anti-scratch finishes).
The combined action of ultrasound and high temperature could damage
these lenses.
If the lenses cannot be removed, set short cleaning cycles (90 seconds).
• Never add solvents or acids to the cleaning tank.
• Never operate the appliance without liquid in the tank. This could damage
the appliance.
• To avoid thermally shocking the transducers, never pour water or detergent
solutions at temperatures above 35° C or below 10° C into the tank.
• Disconnect the mains plug when you finish using the appliance. Change the
detergent solution if it becomes dirty or is no longer effective. Take care when
pouring the solution off.
Model no. 05446: always pour off old solution from the left rear corner
